TOMST® - History in numbers
The company TOMST has operated since 1st January 1995, originally as a sole proprietorship entitled Tomas Haase-TOMST. Its history is closely related to Mr. Tomas Haase, the founder of the company and the author of both the title TOMST and the logo of the company that has been accompanying it since the very beginning.
Main activity of the TOMST in the first months of its existence was computer assemblage.
In July Tomas Haase started the cooperation with the company Cleopatra of Tomas Pecina on the production and innovation of first electronic sensors TPU.
Since April 1997 Tomas Haase has already worked on the development of the sensors individually and he comes to the market with a new version of sensors called PES (Portable Electronic Sensors).
The company moves to its new premises in Prague 4 and employs its first employee.
The TOMST continually concentrates on perfection of the guard-tour system and in 1998 it starts producing an innovated, more resistant version of sensors.
For its products the TOMST uses the well-known technology of iButton chips (also referred to as the touch memory) of the US company Dallas Semiconductor. In 1999 this company awarded to Tomas Haase the ASD certificate (Authorized Software Developer), the award dedicated to companies that have successfully developed and brought to the market the products based on the iButton-chip technology.
After the merger of the companies Dallas Semiconductor and MAXIM the status was repeatedly attested by a new certificate in 2002. The representatives of the company have also presented the TOMST for the first time abroad, at a conference organized by the company Dallas Semiconductor in the USA.
The TOMST comes to the market with a new version of the system of access to buildings TLD (TOMST Lock Devices) and a new users´ program for the system PES WinKontrol 1. The company accepts new employees and gains more and more respect in the Czech Republic as well as in Slovakia.
In 2000 it starts working on the development of the system of non-contact reading, the final product called X-pro was introduced to the public at the exhibition Pragoalarm in April 2001.
At the end of the year the company ATIS Group s.r.o. has become the sole distributor of the TOMST in the Czech Republic.
In April 2002 the firm TOMST introduces to the public its first electronic sensors with the technology ANTI-VANDAL® - a unique system of detection of the attempts to destroy the sensors.

This year meant for the firm TOMST strengthening of its position on the Czech market and further working on both major products – the access system TLD and the guard-tour system PES. In 2003 the TOMST also concentrated on the development of individual solutions and invented a complex system for measuring the bicycle competitors, the so-called rf TAGs.
In 2004 the firm transformed to a legal person called the TOMST s.r.o., with its founder and associate Mr. Tomas Haase and it started to open more to abroad.
In May 2004 it presented its products (a new generation of sensors, a new program WinKontrol) for the first time at the exhibition show IFSEC in Birmingham, where it exhibited together with the company Dallas Semiconductor. Here Mr. Tomas Haase concluded an agreement of Sole Agency for the Great Britain with the company M-Set Technologies. In 2004 the international trade of the TOMST s.r.o. increased a lot. At the exhibition ASIS in Dallas – USA Tomas Haase subscribed the agreement of Sole Agency for the USA with the company Keyper Systems.
In August 2004 the company TOMST s.r.o. moves to its current, newly reconstructed premises in Rimska street, Prague 2.

The representatives of the firm presented its products at many foreign actions, let´s mention e.g. the participation at the IFSEC exhibition show in Birmingham in May 2005, where the firm already had its own stand. At this exhibition the TOMST company received the award “The 2005 Finalist” in the field of safety technologies.
